Gatekeeper's Audio Diary

We have been conducting tests in the field today, and it looks like our mascot, the Gatekeeper, will be able to transmit audio starting sometime on Sunday when he awakens. Previously, his connection speed only allowed short notes via Twitter and Facebook to tell fans where to find him during October. With equipment we salvaged from the dumpster behind Jackpine, we think that audio posts will be possible. 

2013 Preparations

Just a note from MMC staff. We're finalizing the 2013 Event Maps and will announce when (and where) you can find them.

We're upgrading the Gatekeeper's technical equipment to allow for data transmission rates of 1200 baud. When he awakes on Sept. 22, you may discover faster response times if you send him a note, but unfortunately, he does not have auto-correct.

The mistakes, typos and rude comments are those of the Gatekeeper's and do not represent the views of Macabre Manistee County, the County of Manistee, the City of Manistee, the MMC technical staff, nor the descendants of Mrs. Ruth May Elderbottom, who alleged on her deathbed in 1919 that the Gatekeeper was "like a member of the family."
